Always Order Dessert
Food and Lifestyle Expert, Blogger, and On-Camera Host
New York

Alejandra Ramos is a food and lifestyle expert, blogger, and on-camera host who is passionate about sharing original recipes and entertaining ideas that inspire readers to celebrate everyday moments and infuse a bit of indulgence into their daily lives. She is the creator of the popular food and entertaining blog AlwaysOrderDessert.com, which features from-scratch sweet and savory recipes and lifestyle tips that are elegant, playful, and just the right amount of decadent.

A former International Editions Editor for Cosmopolitan at Hearst Magazines International, Alejandra left her corporate job in April 2011 to pursue her dream of creating her own lifestyle business that combined her passions for food, writing, and entertaining.

An experienced on-camera personality, Alejandra regularly hosts segments in both English and Spanish, appearing frequently on The TODAY Show and Telemundo NY. She has also been featured on Good Morning America, Dr. Oz, USA Culture Flash, ABC's The Taste, and The Food Network, among others. She was the host of Feed Your Passion, a webseries by Vivala.com, which profiled Latino entrepreneurs who turned the passion for food into a career.

A sought-after spokesperson and brand ambassador, Alejandra has worked with dozens of international brands to create original web and on-camera content. Some favorite partnerships include Tabasco, Coca-Cola, Keurig, Target, Smirnoff, Netflix, and Barilla, among others.

She is a regular contributing food writer for several magazines and websites, and her recipes and expert advice have been featured in Cosmopolitan, NBCNews.com, O the Oprah Magazine, Better Homes & Gardens, Real Simple, Latina, Saveur, BonAppetit.com, The New York Times, The New York Post, CBSNews.com, The Huffington Post, TODAY, The Wall Street Journal, and many more.

Alejandra majored in English at The George Washington University in Washington, DC, and studied professional culinary arts at Apicius International School of Hospitality in Florence, Italy.

Alejandra and her husband, Eugene Smolenskiy, live in New York City with their cranky (but adorable) shih-tzu dog, Hudson Riverton. When not cooking, traveling, or entertaining, Alejandra likes to spend her time reading and binge-watching her way through the Netflix and Amazon Prime catalogs (current faves include Mozart in the Jungle, Masters of Sex, and the Spanish-language drama, Gran Hotel).
