Giancarlo Sopo serves as the Director of Communications of Nexus Services, a leading, privately-owned family of companies that offers pro-bono legal counsel, bond securitization, real estate, and entertainment services to immigrant communities across the United States. In this role, he leads the team that is responsible for developing, executing, and managing Nexus's media relations, public engagement, and corporate communication strategies. He also serves as the company's spokesman.
Giancarlo brings to Nexus a dynamic background in public relations, strategic communications, and marketing across politics, government, and the private sector. He was formerly the head of marketing for Benenson Strategy Group, a global research consultancy; a teaching fellow on leadership and presidential politics at the Harvard University Extension School; and a Director of Communications in the United States Congress.
Giancarlo is also a co-founder of CubaOne, which seeks to offer young Cuban Americans free, one-week trips to Cuba to forge stronger bonds with their culture, the island, and the Cuban people. Giancarlo has lived in Boston, Washington DC, New York, and now resides in his hometown, Miami, FL. He is the proud owner of a Boston terrier named Jack.
