Eduardo Caballero is a broadcast pioneer with over 40 years of experience in Spanish-language radio and television.
Mr. Caballero, is a native of Sagua de Tánamo, Cuba. Graduated from the University of Havana’s School of Diplomatic Relations in 1953 and, in 1956, from the University José Martí (Havana), with a Doctorate in Law.
He began his career in Spanish broadcasting in 1962, the first Hispanic to hold the position of GSM at a U.S. radio station. In 1968, he joined and became part of the original executive team (as EVP and Director of Sales) of the Spanish International Network (now Univision).
He founded in 1973, Caballero Spanish Media (“CSM”), creating the first ever U.S. syndicated Spanish TV program, “Lo Mejor del Cine en Español” (The Best of Spanish Movies) with well known Ricardo Montalbán as the host. Carried by 29 TV Stations (27 general market stations), which at that time only 5 stations were programming Spanish in USA. 
Also founded what became the nation’s first and largest national Spanish radio sales rep firm, representing over 200 full-time radio stations. 
He acquired the Spanish broadcasting rights from CBS Radio Network, for the Major League Baseball (MLB) World Series, and, also obtained, from NBC, the radio rights to broadcast, in Spanish, three Olympiads.
In partnership with MTV, Caballero Spanish Media, created, produced and syndicated MTV RADIO (in Spanish). Together with Turner Broadcasting, created and syndicated CNN RADIO NOTICIAS (Spanish CNN Radio News).
He founded a broadcast television network “Caballero Television”, O/O of stations in California and Texas, and MASMUSICA TeVe Network, a Spanish music video and entertainment network “MásMúsica TeVe”, aimed at the Hispanic younger audience.
He has been a board member of many civic and professional organizations, including, but not limited to the Advertising Council, the United States Information Agency (VOA), the National Drop-Out Prevention Foundation, the Marketing Advisory Board of the U.S. Postal Service, The Hispanic University of California, The National Association of Spanish Radio, Library of American Broadcasting, etc.
