Grace Solorzano

Telemundo Miami
Grace Solorzano is a Miami-based journalist and producer who tackles the politics beat for Telemundo Network’s weekly public affairs program, Enfoque, anchored by renowned journalist José Díaz-Balart.
As a proud member of the Telemundo Network News family for the last four years, she has also taken part in producing news specials, two of which were town halls with President Barack Obama on topics of great importance to Latinos living in the U.S. In 2014, she became the recipient of a national Emmy award for News & Documentary in the category for Outstanding Coverage of a Breaking News Story in Spanish as it related to the election of Pope Francis.
Grace credits Miami’s multicultural environment for affording her the opportunity to explore the social and political issues that not only drive Latino Americans in the U.S., but also inspire the generation of new U.S. Americans that follow in their footsteps. She hopes to someday help pave the way for more talented Latino journalists in broadcast in the same way other talented Latino men and women have served as mentors in her career.
This 2016 election cycle will present new challenges for Latinos everywhere, and Grace is excited about the opportunity to engage and inform Spanish-speaking audiences on the topics that will define this crucial election year.
