Maria leads Hispanic Social Media as an Interactive Marketing Consultant at MassMutual. She drives high-level strategy and day-to-day implementation of bilingual social media experiences for Latin@s to learn and interact with MassMutual on their terms, time and channels of choice.
Previously, Maria was a freelance digital and social media marketing consultant for local business owners in a range of fields including media, tech, film, music, beauty, hospitality, philanthropy and education. She has also held roles at brands including Univision, The Rockefeller Foundation, and Johnson & Johnson.
Maria is trained as a Media Anthropologist and earned a M.A. from Columbia University in Socio-Cultural Anthropology and M.A. from Rutgers University in Spanish Language and Literature. She shares insights and inspiration at the intersection of #culture, #media and #technology via @culturalista.
