Willy Villarreal, Vice President of Brand Communications and Multicultural Marketing Group Head at PMK•BNC, brings over 15 years of integrated communication marketing experience with deep expertise in multicultural programming, consumer technology, gaming, corporate communications, content marketing, branded entertainment, consumer lifestyle and entertainment.  PMK•BNC is a strategic marketing and communications firm that specializes in entertainment and popular culture.  PMK•BNC represents many of the world’s most prominent actors, actresses, directors, producers, films, production companies, television properties, musicians, authors and content creators, as well as leading consumer brands and prestigious special events.


Prior to PMK•BNC, Villarreal was Vice President of Consumer Marketing and Western Region Multicultural Lead at Edelman where he developed and implemented strategic engagement campaigns for global blue chip clients such as Starbucks, Microsoft, and Xbox to name a few.  Client efforts included product launches, global diversity & inclusion efforts, executive positioning, national retail store openings, stakeholder engagement, multicultural communications and specialized digital programming.  In addition, Villarreal was also instrumental in building Edelman’s multicultural practice at the national level earning the trust from clients while delivering measurable results for .


Prior to Edelman, Villarreal was an instrumental team member in the development of The Axis Agency, a subsidiary of Interpublic Group of Companies (IPG) within Weber Shandwick. During his tenure, Villarreal launched the integrated Hispanic marketing efforts for Nintendo of America, T-Mobile, and Absolut Vodka.


Having launched his career in 2000, Villarreal worked at Bragman Nyman Cafarelli (BNC) within their Corporate Entertainment division supporting clients that ranged from lifestyle, travel, hospitality, consumer electronics, music and sports. Client experience included PlayStation, Paramount Home Video, Sony Consumer Products and ICM’s Television Division (talent agency).


From a thought leadership perspective, Villarreal has participated in numerous technology industry speaking panels where he discussed the evolving media landscape, content marketing best practices, Hispanic consumer insights and trends.


Fluent in Spanish, Villarreal holds a B.S. in advertising and psychology from the College of Communications at the University of Texas at Austin.
